Thanksgiving

Our family decided to celebrate Thanksgiving a little early this year, because alot of us will be busy on Thanksgiving day. It took us 8 hours to get there... Oh- wait, it just felt like it took 8 hours! (ha ha) The kids were actually really good, it just seemed to drag on. Jake and the twins watched movies, but Cai had a little trouble. You see, Cailyn has developed a love- hate relationship with wrappers. Any wrappers really, as long as it crackles she wants it-- or doesn't. She gets so excited to hold it, and then gets so frustrated when she can't get it in her mouth the way she wants, or drops it (heaven forbid!). It really is entertaining to watch.

Laugh.

Cry.

Laugh again--so happy!!

Scream. So sad.

Repeat.

It really is tough to be 4 months old! Here she is after a exhausting 20 minutes of playing with her wrapper. Conked out-- but still clutching her beloved obsession.

We stayed at Grandpa and Bita's house, and although we always feel so at home there-- when we leave, we have to re-train all our kids that they cannot get whatever they want whenever they want it! :) Spoiled rotten!! My sweet Cailyn now knows that it is possible to be held every second of every day, and yearns for that constantly. I suppose that is what Grandparents are for, eh? I kept telling my mom that she was KILLING me, and when I got home I would be in for a lot of crying. She just smiled. You know I love you, Mom and Dad-- thanks for letting us ransack your house! I am sure you will be cleaning for days to come.

"Thanksgiving day" was great. My sister, Sherine hosted (33 weeks pregnant!) and did a wonderful job, as she always does. I am so grateful for a wonderful family who has so much fun together!

I don't know if you can see it-- but there is a little kitty in the middle of the mob! Derett and Ivy got a new cat, Plaxico (I have no idea if that is how you spell it). He was the hit of the day. Poor thing was constantly chased, cuddled, and kissed. Probably a little too much, but he handled it well. I love kittens. I think they are the absolute best. I tried really hard to convince Brent how great it would be to get the kids a kitten, to no avail. (We already have 2 cats). Oh well, I guess I will start working on him for a dog. It may take a while, but look for the post of our new doggy in the future!
