Footprints on your furniture, urine on your stool, ice cream on your floor, sticky hand prints on your bar, toddlers falling off chairs, kids screaming as they run around your home...sound fun? This is just a glimpse at what you can have if you invite our family to your house!
How embarrasing!
Our neighbors invited us over for ice cream and pie last night. While we were there, Sofia leaked through her diaper (I say "leaked", but she was soaked) Bella fell off her bar stool, and both of them were trying to eat ice cream with a fork by themselves, (because having mommy and daddy help them is not okay with them) so it ended up dripping off the stools, onto the floor. Jacob was especially hyper --he got into chocolate chips in the pantry, and sugar at night is so not good for him. Oh my gosh, Renee', if you are reading this, I am SO sorry about last night. Our kids were chaos! I'm sure Erik was wondering what he got himself into.
The sad part is...Brant and I knew the kids were having one of those nights. We were hoping that somehow they would be okay. I think that both of us are so starved for any type of connection with other adults, that we talked ourselves into going even though the kids had "major chaos potential." So instead of just dealing with all of it in our own home, we generously let our friends join in the fun. Oh boy, what a night.
Looks like we will be spending more nights at home sweet home :)

I guess I was lucky that my kids were always so shy that they would never act up in anyone elses house.
Of course they never talked either, or left my side! lol
